Return To Training Safety Policy

Good Morning Everyone,

As part of returning to training we have put in place a strict return to training safety policy that must be adhered to by everyone to make sure we provide an environment that is as safe as possible for everyone.

This policy puts in place what the restrictions are at this point and will obviously evolve as restrictions are hopefully eased.

Below is the main information that guardians need to take note of, but please take the time to read the attached complete safety plan.

GUARDIANS

· Please do not send kids to training if they or someone in the immediate family are unwell, have been in contact with someone who has travelled overseas within 14 days or been in contact with someone who has tested positive to Covid-19 within 14 days

· Notify a COVID-Safe Officer at the club if someone in the immediate family has had to be tested for COVID-19 and then advise of the outcome. Players and parents must self-isolate during this period

· No shared water bottles. Please have your children bring their own labelled water bottle

· If a coach believes a player is unwell, they will be asked to sit out training and their parents will be contacted to collect them.

· If dropping off/picking up, please be on time to avoid having kids lingering unnecessarily.

· Parents can either drop off their children or stay in their car during training

· Parents are not to enter the training area at any time unless they have been designated as a group coach or support person.

· Attendance at training will be recorded to support contact tracing if required. This will be handled through our team app.

· We strongly recommend that all parents download the COVID App.

We will be entering all players and linking primary guardians into our Team App. Here you will be able to RSVP your children to attend training and our coaches will be able to record training attendance. This should be set up as of tonight.

It is important that you register your children for the season and pay the $12 league fee, so they are covered for insurance purposes. This is also where we will be importing information from into our team app. Just search UTJFC in your browser and we should be the top response. Then at the top right hand corner of our website click on member access.

If we are advised of a positive COVID-19 test result we are to report this directly to our local government and league who will advise of the appropriate measures that need to take place from there.

All our executive committee members are COVID Safety Officers and one of us will attend each team’s first training session to speak to the children and answer any questions you may have.

I am our club’s nominated COVID Safety Officer with the League and Local Government, so please feel free to contact me in the meantime.

Kind Regards,
